Instrument Setup for LTE TS 36.141 Clause 6 Tests

The Clause 6 tests validate the eNB's signal performance by introducing an interferer. The eNB signal is combined with a signal generated by the signal generator. This combined signal is then evaluated using a signal analyzer.

After setting up the instruments, refer to the tutorial for configuring the test using the Test Case Manager software.

Ensure that the test signal amplitudes account for loss due to cables, connections, and combiner. To compensate for these losses, see the Configuring the Signal Generator tutorial.

The Clause 6 tests are supported with only the N5182A MXG, N5182B MXG or N5172B EXG signal generator.

Single Signal Generator Instrument Setup

This setup is used by most of the tests.

Multiple Signal Generator Instrument Setup

This setup is used when two interferesl are required such as with the LTE test 6.2.8. This test provides a choice of options per the standards. With the Option 2 selection, the test requires two interferers. For more information, refer 3GPP TS 36.141.
